Special corespondent for the Amia Paper, Gimlet Hackankles, reports the following, written in the ancient and lyric script of the dwarves. After alot of translating, it was made readable by associate Earl Earlsson.

Today a contingent of 7 Thayan wizards angrily demanded an immidiet audiance with his Lordship, outraged at the attack within the walls on their building last eve.

As some of you may have heard, the Thayan building was attacked by unknown assailants. The Wizard and his slaves inside where killed or kidnapped, no attempts at scrying their location by our sources have been successfull, and speak with the dead has failed as well(thanks sir Haulfest!).

The Red Wizards, after a customairy wait period, where given a public audiance with Lord Motgomory, in which they stated they had Irreffutable proof of scrying that their numbers had been killed and where even now being experimented on by 'those foul blue mages', the...Irissians? Isharians?(Editors note, our Corespondent didn't seem to know how to spell this). They further went to demand an immidiet censure and arrest of those involved, going so far as to threaten agressive steps against Cordor and Kholigen as well if they where not satisified immidietly.

The Duke, however, was adamant that the scrying images could have been fabricated or even faked by outside sources, and refused to take any form of action regardless without first hearing from the accused. He, however, has guranteed that he will place his best men and women on the case to get to the bottom of this, and boasted 'this will all be sorted out by midsummer'.

The Thays teleported immidietly without so much of a word in reply, but not 3 hours later the docks where slathered in posters, promissing excellent prices for mercenary work for the Holy Empire of Thay. Meanwhile, a series of 'make hole'(Editors note: Whole) have repaired their destroyed building.

yet another war may be at our hands, let us pray to the gods that the Dukes promiss of this blowing over will indeed come to fruition.

"While I am saddened to see that they would risk such an attack especially within Cordor's walls, I applaud any effort to rid the island of Amia of Thayvian influence and will support any further more diplomatic efforts with what means are at my own disposal, and as a further message to Thay: Your goods are unwelcome, unwanted, and your attempts to buy Cordorians as mercenaries are the biggest show of cowardice imaginble. "
