Valdor swept her up off the ground, and a smile brightened her face. He was certain that in some strange way, her she made the day brighter, the flowers more beautiful, and the air sweeter. She giggled and whispered into his ear, and he fell backwards into a pile of thick meat moss and leaves. The ground did little to break his fall, and he ended up with his legs up over his head, while Anakha simply covered her mouth and laughed at his clumsiness.
Valdor! The sun has set, wake up!
Valdor awoke abruptly, a smile still present from his dream state. He squinted, unsure if he was awake or asleep, and thought that he saw Anakha standing over him. He rubbed his eyes, and when he opened them again looked up to find Veriel standing over him. The smile that creased his youthful face quickly washed away and was replaced with a stern look that stayed there for some time as he found his senses. He gazed up at the sky, and through the canopy of the forest he could see that Màthair (the mother moon) and Piuthar (the sister moon) were dancing in the sky together. He forced his still-sleeping body to get up and off the ground.
"We still have a short while before we must go," he said to Veriel, "so let me tell you about the Three Moons."
Veriel folded her legs underneath her and carefully stoked the campfire that had kept them both warm up on the cliffside. Valdor went and found two dead branches of adequate size to keep the fire going for another short while. "I saw some pink spotted mushrooms and brought a bunch of them back with me," he said. Valdor took a short branch and speared one of the mushrooms with it, and held it over the fire. It crackled and hissed a little. As Valdor turned the stick to cook the mushroom evenly, he began to speak.
"Bràthair, the brother moon, rises on a 25 day cycle. He is always low in the southern sky, and never as bright as the other two. Piuthar, the sister moon, rises on the same 25 day cycle, but off by a few days. It is said that the brother and sister moon dance across the southern sky each night, as if playing in the heavens. Màthair, the mother moon, has a 32 day cycle. She is the largest of the three, and shines brightly over the lands from the north. Some believe to have seen the face of a woman in the moon, smiling."
"Why are you telling me this now, Valdor?"
"Look up to the sky," Valdor replied, "When the mother is out by herself, it is a sign of bad things to come. When the children are out alone, expect foul weather in the coming days. If the sister and mother are out together, expect good news of birth, or rebirth. When all three are together in the night sky, there shall be peace across the lands."
Valdor pointed to the smaller of the two moons in the sky that night. "That is Piuthar, the sister moon. Over there, just under the canopy line is Màthair, the sister moon. You see, tonight is a night of rebirth. The time has come Veriel, with Lazarus being fully occupied by the rangers, we are now free to begin the Transplant. Your Dreaming Tree is a child to The Mother, and this night she will be reborn."

"A female two-legs returned it to the Cycle," the young bird told him with a series of tweets and flutters. He replied in a similar way, and although the intonation was never quite satisfactory he did manage to convey his thanks.
"Earth drank wine of wolf," the stone said, after Valdor cast a spell of Speak with Stone and asked the stone what had happened here. The stones speak a broken language, never judge, and only tell what actually happened. The foundation of balance...
When he had learned that the lycanthrope known as Lazarus had been destroyed by Miyra, he set out to find her. It did not take long, as she was in the old Heartwood grove with a friend, Carino. Valdor thanked her for what she had done, and asked her to assist him in gathering all the defenders of nature for a ceremony.
Many answered the call, some travelling down from the mountain peaks, and others from the Underdark, but all were there to bear witness to the rebirth. Valdor blessed the Dreaming Tree, as did the others. Then it was time... Valdor took the form of an Ancient Blue Dragon, grabbed the tree with his claws, and ripped what little connection it had to the Earth away. He swooped up and away over the clifftop, where people saw him land not too far away.

The site had already been prepared, this new grove quite similar to the one in his homeland because it had served him so well. There was already a place in the earth dug out for the Dreaming Tree to stand. Valdor brought the tree down and placed it into the hole, then changed to the form of an Earth Elemental so he may straighten it and compact the Earth below it to secure the almost-dead husk of the Great Duir in place.
Once the task was complete, there was only one task left to perform. He pulled out an ancient staff from his pack, one that he had used only once before, and one that had once been used to free him from the terrible grasp of devils hell-bent on the destruction of his home through him.
The Staff of Amplification, a staff that focuses nature's energy, glowed a faint blue in his hands. When held by his love Anakha before her death, it glowed a bright green, far brighter than it would ever glow for Valdor. He began a hallowing spell, and chose to infuse a regeneration into it, and applied it to the area around the Great Duir. The great power of the tree would sustain the regeneration for all who stood underneath her, once she was healthy again.
"For the balance!" Valdor shouted, and he smashed the butt of the staff into the firm earth right next to what most here knew as the Dreaming Tree.
