Anyone walking through the northern outskirts of Cordor would happen to notice that the ground is uncommonly soggy, the crops are all ruined, and that Farmer Holvin looks more than commonly glum. On the side of every building, a muddy line about as high as a human's waist suggests the depths that the floodwaters had reached.

According to rumors, a pack of kobolds - aided by two humans - built a dam north of town. After letting the water sufficiently pool up, they blasted the dam, thus flooding the farmlands below. Their motive is unknown, but public consensus suggests that it was an attempt to damage Cordor's agriculture.

The prices of grain are already rising, and Cordor citizens are being advised to tighten their belts...

Clerk Rosanna of the Cordor Jail reports that Aley Sanneset turned himself in, pleaded ignorance of the consequences of his actions, and surrendered the payment that the kobolds had given him. He is not to be considered a fugitive, but should be kept under surveilance for the next week when in the vicinity of Cordor.

The kobolds' other accomplice, however, is still at large.

Vyashir notes that much of this year's crop had recently been frozen, smashed, dug up, burned, dissolved, or otherwise destroyed by a small cadre of undead-slaying adventurers just the day before, making the aditional losses sustained to the crops nominal at worst. It was also a good year for the Zombie/undead minion harvest, which occured shortly before said burning. Darn those Horde Goblin Necromancers... darn them all.

mynna thinks about the situation for the moment:

Considering, it is past harvest, and all there is in that area is ruined crops, a ground for drunken idiots, a bath house, and foilage, a flood won't really effect the daily lives of the people at all... oh, except those bloody drunkerds, and maybe those foolish adventurers...hmm, no loss at all.. *and she continued to play mislead the adventurers soon after*..

// DMs are responsible for handling the lore on Amia, and determine what is going on in the world at large. As a courtesy thing... If a DM says that crops are ruined and food supplies are limited, please don't post that the crops were already harvested and the public is fine. Thank you, and have a nice day.

// Alright, sorry. I wasn't online for that event, and no details were posted on the forums to inform me. Play it however you want, then... topsoil being washed away, seeds being swept away. Flood = bad for farmland = bad for food supply.
