Scribed in elegant elven handwriting, simple ink on clean parchment, tacked to the front door of Purity's Refuge is a note. It reads:

To my friends and loved ones of the Defenders,

I would first like to thank everyone's support and hard work when dealing with the recent attacks against Cordor and Kohlingen. The threat that afflicts both of the cities is a grave one, and is being worked equally hard to end it. We of the Defenders, offer our warmest gratitude for all that have risen to protect our two cities.

I would also like to meet with all Defenders regarding an important issue regarding this. If we do not meet in person, feel free to write a letter, and I will send one back explaining on what I am concerned.

May we continue our successes against the growing darkness, and continue our stand for the greater good.

Your's in heart and service,

*signature, finely written*
Celene Nai'lo
Champion of Eilistraee and Defender of Kohlingen

//If I am not on, either DM or as a player (Jeyme/J3yXp0rt) feel free to PM on the forums as Jeyme and I'll send out a message back. It is important that every Defender gets a hold of me one way or another. Thanks. - J

*A notice goes out via messenger, hand carried to each of the Defenders. The letter is neatly sealed with both the insignia of them and one of a full moon with a sword. The words are printed simply, but with great neatness. It reads as follows:*

My friend,

After hearing of Nightingale's intent to cure the plague, it is my hope that we all stand to assist her in finding the components that she requires. They are as follows:

Chicona Bark
Rose Lilies
Seeds of Perfection
Athelas Leaves
Butterfly Mushrooms
Leaves of Morning Glory
Heart of the Forest
Glow Berries.

Apparently, it would seem that much time has passed since the notice has been posted, and no one is speaking of the cure. I believe it is safe to assume that the ingredients have not been gathered, and it would be a great service to Cordor, if we were to lend some aid. I will be heading out myself to look for some of these herbs, and I urge you to do the same.

Always your's, in love and service,

*signed elegantly with print beneath*

*Fizsh grabs the messanger boy who some how made his way to Fizsh's mountain retreat.*
What do you have for me this time boy?

Hmm. this is information I havent been given before.
Interesting.
*the tin can helmed drow hands the boy a ring from one of the dead giant kings he has dethroned.*
Here. go find use for this thing. And tell the one who sent you, I will track down what components I can find for this cure, but I would like to know more about the origin of this plague.
You understand that boy?

*and as the boy runs off, enamored his shiney new ring the faceless man jumps up into the shadows of the rafters.*

One more part to the puzle. One more step to the goal...

You ASS-U-ME wrong

I know of at least a couple of characters with ingredients & not a clue what to do with them. :(

In fact, even OOCly (as AmiaWorld forum members are wont to say) having read about "the cure" & ingredients here in the History & Lore forum, I haven't the foggiest idea how to let characters ICly "stumble upon" information about what to do. I.e., "X" dropped into the Plague Shelter (Seemed like a good idea at the time.) & found same old NPC dialogue. :? (Sigh!) I should expect DM logic to be, uh, logical or what?

One character I know of doesn't even WANT dream coins. Swears to leave 'em in the Sweetberry bush or somewhere like that in the very unlikely event one ever is mistakenly dropped in the ole portable pantry. Would, however, enjoy being financially rewarded for turning in an ingredient for "the cure" by GOLD on the barrel head. :D

I have a few of the things that were posted as needed for the cure. Have nightingale contact me if she needs them.

I also have some of these ingredients and would be happy to help. I am currently residing in Warftown.
